Currently, we are hiring for the following full-time positions as of April 2019:

I. Project Management Assistant

We are looking for individuals with 2-3 years of experience within the construction industry, who are motivated self-starters, to act as assistant project managers.  You would be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Preparing reports and payroll
  • Communicating and collaborating with both management and field personnel
  • Applying for and obtaining local permits and other legal forms
  • Maintaining filing and storage
  • Coordinating meetings
  • Picking up and delivering materials as needed
  • A valid driver’s license is required

Applicants should have strong communication skills, a detail-oriented work ethic, a positive outlook, and be able to accomplish complicated tasks with a minimum of oversight.  Expect frequent task-switching and be ready to engage in creative problem-solving.

II. Rigger

Bobcat Contracting needs experienced riggers!  Applications must have prior experience working with boom trucks, overhead cranes and mobile cranes, along with:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A valid Texas Class-A CDL
  • NCCCO certification
  • The ability to pass both drug and background checks

Our riggers are expected to place a priority on safety and will be tasked with maintaining safety on the machines.  You would be responsible not only for the rigging itself but for the selection of gear according to the demands of each job.  Strong communication skills are a must!  You will also be responsible for inspecting machinery before use and contributing to storage after use.

You may be called upon to work in any weather or temperature environment and may be expected to work overtime as needed.

III. Boom Truck Driver

If you have experience driving boom trucks or cranes, Bobcat Contracting wants you!  You should have the ability to drive multiple forms of heavy equipment, as well as inspecting and maintaining the vehicles you operate.  Strong communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to maintain logs and other paperwork relevant to your work.

Along with relevant experience, applicants must also have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A valid Texas Class-A CDL
  • NCCCO certification
  • The ability to pass both drug and background checks

IV. Mobile Crane Operator

Mobile crane operations and rentals are one of Bobcat Contracting’s core areas of business, and we are seeking experienced and hardworking crane operators. You must have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A valid Texas Class-A CDL
  • NCCCO certification
  • The ability to pass both drug and background checks

Our crane operators are expected to work with minimum supervision, to the satisfaction of client customers.  You will be responsible for day-to-day operations of any number of cranes, as well as their inspection and daily maintenance.  You will also be expected to participate in security planning and place a high emphasis on workplace safety at all times.
