2013 Texas Mutual Insurance Safety Trophy awarded to Bobcat Contracting

Bobcat Contracting recognized for outstanding safety

HILLSBORO, TEXAS,

Central Texas-based energy services company Bobcat Contracting has received the 2013 Texas Mutual Insurance Safety Trophy for an outstanding safety record. This award is presented annually to only 200 of Texas Mutual’s 57,000 policy holders.

Safety trophies are awarded to companies who have significantly reduced or eliminated workplace accidents. Texas Mutual selected Bobcat Contracting to receive a trophy “because employees are exposed to workplace hazards and the (Bobcat Contracting) management team has provided the resources necessary to protect employees,” according to Texas Mutual.

R. Marc Young, owner and president of Bobcat Contracting, is pleased to be recognized with this award.

“Receiving the Texas Mutual Safety Trophy is an honor, and we will continue to go into the field each day with safety as our top priority.”

The Safety Trophy was presented to Young and Bobcat Contracting employees by Texas Mutual Loss Prevention Consultant Mary Freeman and Upshaw Insurance Agency Partner Cory Bentley at the Bobcat Contracting headquarters located in Hillsboro, Texas.

“Safety is clearly a core value in your organization,” said Freeman. “We work hard to help you prevent workplace accidents, and we are proud to have owners who share our commitment to safety.”

Companies receive safety trophies because their loss experience reflects a commitment to safety, according to Texas Mutual.

“Bobcat Contracting continues to put safety first, and this has paid off in numerous ways,” said Bentley.

Young agrees, stating he is glad to receive the award, “but the most important thing is keeping our employees safe.”
